Sharing your faith

In our first Article, “Unlimited Help Available,” it was noted that only through the Spirit of
God dwelling in us, can we truly find victory and success in our Christian lives.
Seeking the power of the Holy Spirit requires fervent devotion in our prayer life. This is
not to say that we should minimize the impact of the prayers of our friends. It was
James Vaughn who wrote the hymn, “I need the prayers of those I love, while traveling
o’er life’s rugged way.”
Our salvation cannot be earned, nor can our friends save us. Yes, friends can help us in
gaining a closer walk with God, but it is our personal relationship with Christ that will
allow us to know Him for ourselves.
As fellow believers, let us pray for, and diligently lift-up everyone in our family and
church circle. It was Paul who endeared himself to the people of Ephesus, by praying
that the Holy Spirit will help them to live victorious Christian lives in this sinful world.
Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 3:14 begins with humility - “For this reason I bow my knees
to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” He goes on to say in verse 16, “that He would
grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through
His Spirit in the inner man.” Here, Paul was unselfish in sharing his faith.
One of the more accepting things you can say to anyone, is share that you are praying
for them.
Let us pray for each other!
